The FAO IPPC (International Agreement about Vegetable Safeguard) has developed the ISPM-15 standard, that has been adopted in more than 170 countries around the world, to remove potential harmful organisms, that can be diffused also through wood pallets/packagings used in the commercial trades among countries, to save the world wood heritage.
The ISPM-15 Standard, that is based on the phytosanitary measure that has been identified by the IPPC, establishes that raw wood packages have to be treated with heating-HT treatment before shipping.
Following the treatment or the packaging production with already treated wood, it is necessary to put the IPPC/FAO-FITOK brand.
