What is it?
The FAO IPPC (International Agreement about Vegetable Safeguard) has developed the ISPM-15 standard, that has been adopted in more than 170 countries around the world, to remove potential harmful organisms, that can be diffused also through wood pallets/packagings used in the commercial trades among countries, to save the world wood heritage.
The ISPM-15 Standard, that is based on the phytosanitary measure that has been identified by the IPPC, establishes that raw wood packages have to be treated with heating-HT treatment before shipping.
Following the treatment or the packaging production with already treated wood, it is necessary to put the IPPC/FAO-FITOK brand.
LESTI PALLETS has at its disposal 2 drying/treatment cells and has the following FITOK authorizations that are necessary to produce and trade wood pallet/packagings with the brand IPPC/FAO-FITOK, such as:
Subject 7.1Company that does the heating treatment on wood material that has been semifinished and finished.
Subject 7.2BCompany that uses semifinished material that has been already treated in the production of packages with ISPM 15 brand.
Subject 7.2RPCompany that selects finished used packages with the ISPM 15 brand.
Wood artificial exsiccation process occurs with warm air that is artificially produced into high technology cells; this process allows to have, in faster times than the natural exsiccation (24/30 hours) a lot of dryed packages, suitable for any of our clients’ requests.
